Sauna Room Guide · Specification research, not hands-on testing · 2026-10-29
Start with what the offer actually identifies
A manufacturer can describe a sauna room without identifying a particular heater or controller in that offer. Our SaunaLife E6 entry is a cabin-kit research record: the captured manufacturer page does not settle the exact heating package. We therefore leave power, circuit and complete price unresolved.
That is different from asserting that every dealer excludes a heater. Dealers may bundle equipment differently. Ask for a quotation that names the cabin and each included component. An unspecified item remains unknown until the exact offer answers the question; it is not automatically included or automatically an extra.
Compare a named heater package with a cabin record
The reviewed Bristow base description explicitly lists a 4.5 kW Harvia heater. Its footprint and supply information belong to that described package. A comparison with an unspecified barrel package must make the difference visible, rather than assigning the same rated power or projecting an installed total.
A larger heater rating is not a universal performance ranking. The selected cabin, materials, installation and heater instructions matter. We have not measured heat distribution, warm-up time or running costs for either configuration. Those claims cannot be created by multiplying a catalogue specification.
The guard and controls are part of the installation question
The E6 assembly manual directs the heater installation and safety rail to the selected heater manufacturer’s distances. Do not assume the supplied cabin drawing authorises every heater or that a generic guard settles all clearances. The exact heater manual belongs with the cabin instructions.
Ask which controls are supplied, where they are mounted and whether any lighting or control equipment needs a separate supply. Record required stones, protective components and mounting items when the quotation identifies them. Leave an unspecified electrical component open in the tool instead of filling a common default.

Request matching scope from each seller
Send both sellers the same list: cabin model and revision, heater model, controls, required extras, freight level, unloading, assembly, foundation and electrical work. Ask for itemised amounts and for the installation documents governing each selected component.
Enter confirmed amounts in the budget tool and preserve unknown rows. A cabin price and a delivered heated package are different scopes; neither is a complete site quotation until the remaining work is covered. The useful comparison is what your household will actually receive and still need to arrange.
| Part | Question to settle |
|---|---|
| Cabin | Exact model, drawing and revision? |
| Heater and controls | Which model and what is included? |
| Protection and connections | Which manuals and required extras? |
| Services and tax | What is delivered, installed and still excluded? |
