These are manufacturer and seller specifications. Missing installation requirements remain unresolved; neither model is declared the universal winner. We have not tested heat distribution, comfort or reliability.
The two records belong to the outdoor infrared family, but the capacity increase is not simply a longer bench in an otherwise identical installation. Check the recorded width, depth and height and ask for the usable seating arrangement for the exact size.
The same-scale rectangles compare the published exterior envelopes. They do not represent usable floor area, the detailed roof outline, a structural pad drawing or the complete site. Put the entrance and surrounding obstructions on the site sketch before selecting the larger cabin.
The current US records use different published supply requirements and locking plug types. Provide the exact model documents to the installer. A shared nominal voltage cannot establish that the same circuit or receptacle can serve either option.
The guides also state different overhead requirements: Luminar 2 retains a range while Luminar 5 has a separately recorded minimum. The side/rear entries differ too. More generous access in one direction cannot be used to cancel a shortfall in another, and a published range still needs its site application confirmed.
Both assembly guides describe a pad extending beyond the footprint, but that is a foundation requirement rather than the complete clearance envelope. Keep support, drainage and the surrounding service/air space as separate checks. The guide’s load statement is not a foundation design for your property.
Neither reviewed front-access statement provides one universal numeric door allowance for the tool. Ask for the actual door-opening space and confirm the entry route. The larger cabin also changes the handling and staging conversation; a curbside freight quote does not answer it.
The outdoor owner manual includes recurring weather and care tasks. Plan how the chosen location allows those tasks instead of treating an outdoor rating as a maintenance-free promise. The care guide links the applicable manual sections without inventing an annual service average.
Obtain comparable delivered-and-installed quotations for the exact models. Use the energy tool with explicit warm-up, duty and tariff assumptions if running cost matters. We have not measured power use, heat-up performance or comfort in either model, so this page makes no universal value ranking.
